Q: What is marijuana addiction in rehab?

A: Unheard of, frankly.

Marijuana addiction (i.e., severe substance use disorder) is not really a rehab thing, because addiction is insanity and marijuana doesn’t make people go crazy.

During the time I worked with thousands of addicts in a 28-day residential drug and alcohol detox and rehab facility, we had 1 single 18-year-old kid there for “weed abuse” (LOL). This kid’s parents had paid for their kid’s “treatment” in hopes that might somehow help him behave in a manner that would make them happier.

So, forcing their kid to go to rehab was really more like “child abuse” IMHO.

I hope that kid learned his lesson and he figured out how to better hide his pot stash. Or, since he was 18, he got the hell outta dodge after he completed his “treatment”.
