i am Hindu, what do i do?

Q: How do I quit my addiction using Hinduism? I am porn addict and I can’t quit. I heard people use Christianity to quit addiction. I am Hindu and I need help.

A: At the core of every major religion is the concept that, by reducing via altruism the suffering that others experience, you will achieve the sort of enlightenment that feels better than any high you can get from anything you might get addicted to—including porn.

Alcoholics Anonymous (A.A.) and Narcotics Anonymous (NA) and Porn Anonymous (PA) all espouse the Christianity-based 12 Steps to that end—particularly Step 12: “Having had a spiritual awakening as the result of these steps, we tried to carry this message to addicts, and to practice these principles in all our affairs.”
