jonesing for Adderall?

Q: How often will my physician count my Adderall to see if I am taking too much? Does this often happen at the first visit after the prescription, or thereafter?

A: Your doctor won’t count your pills.

Your pharmacist will count your pills.

When you ask your pharmacist for a refill and, if you took too many pills, your pharmacist will not refill your prescription until “it’s time”.

Asking for a refill too early is called “refill too soon”.

At that point, your only recourse is to wait until “it’s time” for a refill; or, fess up to your doctor why you are jonesing for more Adderall.
