methadone detox?
Q: How bad is methadone detox at a facility?
A: Fear of opioid withdrawal is often worse than actual opioid withdrawal.
Methadone clinic doctors normally prescribe methadone (an opioid) to help opioid addicts kick heroin—a medical option which just delays eventual opioid withdrawal suffering.
Detox doctors normally prescribe Subutex or Suboxone (opioids) to help addicts kick methadone—another medical option which just delays eventual opioid withdrawal suffering.
The doctors are idiots.
The best way to kick opioids is to 1) stop putting ALL opioids into your body, 2) suffer the miserable consequences (withdrawals) of your addiction once and for all—and then 3) never again put drugs into your body—or you will have to start all over again.
At least try to kick opioids without doctor-prescribed drugs. Then, if you can’t handle the withdrawals ask the doctor to prescribe something that will help ease your misery.
AND THAT’S THE TRUTH
