no A.A. or NA for me?
Q: How do you convince someone that you do NOT need A.A. or NA?
A: In 1935 the Oxford Group Christian organization begat the Alcoholics Anonymous (A.A.) program which established the 12 Steps—half of which mention either God or a “Power greater than ourselves”.
Then A.A. begat the Christianity-based Narcotics Anonymous (NA) 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation in 1953.
I resigned my A.A./NA memberships primarily because A.A./NA’s Christianity focus conflicts with my beliefs as a pantheist.
You can read my A.A./NA resignation letter for the other reasons I came to believe that I no longer needed my memberships in A.A. and NA.
AND THAT’S THE TRUTH
