psych meds?
Q: As a patient, what happens if I don’t want to take my psychiatric medications at a mental health hospital?
A: If you fail to comply with the patient contract that you signed agreeing to follow the mental health facility’s treatment by refusing to take your meds, then that mental health facility may discharge you for noncompliance.
In other words, if you don’t take your meds, they can legally kick you out or force you to take your meds—depending on how crazy they think you are and what the fine print of the agreement you signed (and the associated laws) say.
AND THAT’S THE TRUTH
