treatable addiction

Q: What is the difference between an addiction that is treatable and one that is not possible to treat?

A: There is no such thing as a treatable addiction–yet. That’s why there is no cure for addiction–yet.

So far, once you are addicted to something you will always be addicted to that thing, because addiction relapse is an epigenetic thing.

Scientists are working hard on developing the first pill or shot which will be an addiction therapeutic that treats the epigenetic addiction relapse thing.

Until science figures out an addiction therapeutic, to defeat addiction relapse, the best an addict can hope for is to become a recovering addict which is a life-long pursuit of The Truth about yourself and everyone and everything around you.

To become a successfully recovering addict requires at least 15 minutes of daily self-reflection and at least 1 hour a week meeting with an addiction recovery sponsor–until the day you die. No one on planet Earth has figured out a better way to treat addiction—yet. Once you get into the groove, being a successfully recovering addict really is a wonderful thing, because you end up all happy and satisfied with your life.
