Q: Why do so many people take Xanax (alprazolam) when all it does is make you sleepy?

A: I never understood why so many people would pay good money to take “downers’ when I enjoyed ingesting “uppers” like cocaine and meth so much more, until I learned that downers “wire up” some people like coke and speed wired me up.
